MSc Student Matt Dean shines at the Global Soil Biodiversity Conference

Last week MSc student Matthew Dean (co-supervised by the wonderful Erin Cameron at SMU) spent a few days in Victoria BC as part of the Global Soil Biodiversity Conference. Matt gave his very first oral presentation at a scientific conference to a very international audience. If you know Matt, you know he has a way of making his ideas clear & engaging. Clearly the judging panel felt the same way, and Matt came home with an award as the 3rd place for oral presentations!

Matt’s project is supported by the Nova Scotia Living Labs. You can learn more about the fantastic work of this applied on-farm research network here. Congratulations Matt, we are so very proud of you!
