Japanese Beetle Research

Work in our group, led by PhD student Alexe Indigo, is focused on the Japanese Beetle (Popillio japonica) an introduced species that feeds on hundreds of species of plants. Part of the work conducted by Alexe will involve working with the wider community to better understand the scale and severity of invasion, while also searching for the presence of a parasitic fly that kills that Japanese beetle.

Perhaps you’d like to receive an occasional update about our work? This might include:
– Plain language summaries of the newest research about Japanese Beetles
– Notice of online webinars and talks about the Japanese Beetles
– Announcement of new findings from our research
– Opportunities to contribute towards participatory research projects
